I find animals a huge comfort to have around, as I am sure that you do.  They bring joy in so many different ways, and ask for very little in return.

It will not surprise you to learn that I have a dog of my own, a Chocolate Labrador called Harriet.  I also own cats and fish, and I am very lucky in that my parents own horses.  Harriet and I spend most of our day together out walking, and now that she is a bit older she is sometimes allowed to come and stay with me during Pet Sitting bookings, as long as the clients agree of course.

Whilst most of my experience has come from being an owner, I am conscious that there are continual changes in ways of thinking and best practice within the pet industry.  With this in mind I am currently working through a variety of training, behaviour and animal care courses to refresh on the basics and learn about new ideals and methods.  I am a firm believer that there is always more to learn, and these courses will contribute towards my Continual Professional Development (CPD) studies.
